Hello, this is Blue Jade Water🌷
Thanks for visiting this post!!
I have been practicing veganism for 4 years(2021), and the year 2022 will be the 5th anniversary of my veganism journey.
And, I feel that it’s gonna be a good time to share about how veganism embraced my life and how I have changed over the years.
I’m gonna share three aspects that veganism changes me; spirituality, mental and physical health.
I hope you enjoy it!
Table of Contents
Change1: Spirituality

The book called “WORLD PEACE DIET” was an eye-opener and brought the first step to embrace my spirituality through the practice of veganism.
The author Will Tuttle leads me toward the path of harmonious coexistence with Mother Earth and living beings.
If you are interested to learn about spirituality of veganism, please check the book!
I could know that what I enjoyed was giving harm and suffering to fellow lives such as slaughtering animals for food, using animals for cosmetic testing, fashion items, and other forms of exploitation.
Moreover, I could be aware that we ignore the suffering of animals and started to question the way I am.
I knew that humans cannot be happy and peaceful while we neglect the suffering and killing of living beings.
In modern times, egoism is spread all around the Earth and it can be witnessed in every form such as animal exploitation in factory farming, child labour, the widening poverty gap, and climate change.
It is all due to the over-floating ego without care for others.
Sometimes, I get constant eagerness to purchase and possess things only for myself.
I know you may feel that this is a natural behaviour of human beings.
But, I noticed that my actions particularly consumption do contain the power to shape up the world either ethically good or bad way.

I think that being vegan is neither just a lifestyle choice nor for one’s own health.
Veganism to me is a holistic approach toward coexistence with Mother Earth and living beings.
Veganism is all about loving compassion and the practice of biophilia.
I feel that I became more aline with my intention to live with love, empathy, and compassion after I started vegan life.
This is totally matched with my values of harmonious living on Mother Earth.

We are what we eat.
The energy and vibe of food penetrate into our bodies and shape our emotions, feelings, and energy.
Animals in factory farming contain a lot of fear, anxiety stress, and illnesses.
We can’t be healthy by eating unhealthy unethical food since its negativity comes down to our bodies.
We can’t realize peace if we depend on food that causes violence and harm to fellow living beings.
I don’t think this is a coincidence between the sickness of the Earth, living beings, and human society.
I believe that all living beings share invisible energy and vibe, and it affects all dimensions.
As a whole, we have issues of climate change, environmental destruction, habitat loss, extinction, poverty, conflicts, mental illness, and chronic diseases.
I see these issues are interconnected with each other.
Veganism is a powerful choice to change the vicious cycle and turn it into peaceful living.
Veganism embraces the path of love, peace, non-violence, and circular & sustainable living.
Change2: Mentality & Emotions

After I realized the spiritual enhancement of veganism, I could fully commit to veganism with positive intentions.
I had a year of pescatarian before I became a vegan.
First, I became a vegan for ethical reasons such as the slaughter of innocent lives and its violent activities.
After that, I started to learn more about veganism from vegan activists.

Then, I could know that being vegan has such a powerful influence when it comes to climate change and environmental protection.
I welcomed the idea of environmental veganism since I had been working for Mother Earth already and it was the time when my values went one through veganism.
I became more peaceful and calm the mind, and careful of my habits, behaviours, and consumption.
I feel I have the incentive of my life and choices through widening the horizon to go over human egoism.
That’s because I know how vegan can bring peace and harmony with Mother Earth and living beings.
I can be just peaceful and happy to know my positive commitment to Mother Earth and lives.

One’s activity seems powerless and nothing.
However, being a vegan brings a surprisingly powerful impact to make positive changes.
In a day, a vegan can save
- A life o animal
- 4,164 L of water
- 20kg of grain
- 3m2 of forest
- about 9 kg of CO2

Change3: Physical Health

The most noticeable physical change for me is I became healthier.
It might be the combination with other spiritual practices such as meditation and yoga, but I believe food shapes what we are.
I used to struggle with eating disorders and stress eating when I was a university student.
I was swayed by external influences and easily get stressed out.

Eating was the easiest way to run away and get rid of stress.
I ate a big amount of sweets and sometimes at midnight, which brought extra weight to my body.
I did not seek to be thin, but I truly deserved to be healthy.
My mental was ill-like conditions and my physical part went bad.
I tried different kinds of methods for weight loss, but none of them did not work for me.
Now, I think I didn’t have the intention for that.
I was stressed about my chubby body and my low commitment to lose weight, which made me further stressed eating.

After I practice veganism spiritually, my empty emotions were saved by interconnectedness with Mother Earth and living beings.
I could know that I was not alone, and the Mother was always with me.
I received peaceful vibes from her.
Then, I changed gradually.
I lost extra weight naturally without stress.
Now, I stay in good health thanks to spiritual activities of veganism, meditation, affirmation, and yoga.
I hope it reaches you.
My heart to yours.
